Watch Joe Biden Brag About Bribing Ukraine

The claim that Trump has traded anything to the Ukraine for personal gain has yet to be proved. Much less that he has committed an impeachable act. The so-called “whistleblower” complaint is based on hearsay and is unfactual.

On the other hand in 2018 Joe Biden literally bragged about his successful threat to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loans to Ukraine, an act for which his son materially benefited.

Joe Biden, while serving as vice president, pressured the Ukrainian government to fire the prosecutor who was investigating his son’s company. Hunter Biden joined the board of Ukrainian national gas company Burisma in 2014 while his father was managing the United States’ Ukraine policy and despite zero personal experience in the field. At the time Hunter Biden joined its board, Burisma was embroiled in allegations of corruption, allegations serious enough that Ukraine’s prosecutor general launched an investigation into the company.

Joe Biden was so proud of his role in the prosecutor’s removal from investigating the company paying his son $50,000 per month merely to serve on its board that he actually bragged about it in a 2018 speech at an event for the publication Foreign Affairs. In this speech, Biden boasts his threat to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loans from Ukraine if they did not agree to fire the prosecutor who happened to be investigating the company giving his son a cushy sinecure.

Better Legislation Proposed

Posted by Jack

SAC-Bee:  California Gov. Gavin Newsom is not the only one fed up with PG&E’s latest round of power shutoffs.

Republicans representing the area affected by last year’s deadly Camp Fire are calling on the utility to spend more money to harden its grid and buy better equipment.

State Sen. Jim Nielsen, R-Tehama, and Assemblyman James Gallagher, R-Yuba City, argue that PG&E is spending $2.4 billion a year to comply with Senate Bill 100 — money they feel could be better used to prevent future wildfires and 10 years of continued power shutoffs. They also think the company is already well on track to meet its obligations, given 85 percent of its electricity comes from renewable and greenhouse gas-free sources.

“Why are we continuing to force them to pay billions of dollars of ratepayer funds buying more renewables when we could take those dollars to make their infrastructure safer for all of us who are experiencing this?” Gallagher said. “This is smarter climate policy.”

Scandal in Sacramento – PG&E vs Democrats

by Jack

The Wall Street Journal had a great op-ed piece that was noted in comments 10/28/19 by reader RHT.  Among the more salient points of the article was this quote,  by the governor of California,  “It’s about dog-eat-dog capitalism meeting climate change. It’s about corporate greed meeting climate change. It’s about decades of mismanagement,” Mr. Newsom declared.

The governor just told a whopper of a half lie.    Yes, it’s about mismanagement alright, but most of that comes straight from the progressives ruining the State of California and their eco-warrior mentality.

The State of CA was duly warned many times by PG&E and others about the possibility of uncontrollable wild fires.  This started nearly three decades ago when the State first forced PG&E to stop spraying pre-emergence under their transmission lines and electrical towers to control growth.

The State’s concern then and now was laser focused on the chemicals that [might] in some small way impact local habitat.  So, the state was willing to completely stop the spraying and let combustible materiel accumulate to dangerous levels on the forest floor and around transmission lines.  Clearly, this was a setup for disaster and now we have a huge, dangerous mess, thanks to liberals in State government who blocked every attempt at fire prevention on wildlands.

The state PUC regulates everything PG&E does and they have the authority to fine PG&E up to $50,000 a day for safety violations.  However, in the last 20 years they have issued zero, zip, nada citations for safety violations.  THIS IS THEIR FREAKING JOB!   Instead the PUC continually sided with the environmentalists and against PG&E to halt any form herbicide spraying.   They have also forced PG&E into spending money for so-called green projects rather than basic maintenance of power lines.   When you lift the lid off this one and look deep inside you will find the State of California the real culprit here.

California Wildfires, Shasta, USA – 26 Jul 2018

This is not about corporate greed as Gov. Newsome claims, it is about decades of stupid government interference and eco-incompetence and the democrats own it…100%.  This latter part is not what the governor wants you to know.  But, it’s rather obvious given the state of wild fires right now.   PG&E has the evidence to back up what I’m saying and I hope they come forward.  I wish we could all sue the state for its gross government failures to protect the citizens from these horrific wild fires.

Did you know your utility rate in CA is twice that of Oregon and Washington and look at the forested land they have!  How is that possible?

Something is seriously wrong in CA and the progressives are behind it…again.

And now this from the WSJ …” State law mandates that utilities obtain 33% of electric generation from renewables such as wind and solar by 2020 and 60% by 2030. Utilities must spend hundreds of millions of dollars each year to reduce the cost of green energy for low-income households. PG&E has prioritized political obeisance over safety.”  That’s because they are partly controlled by the idiots in government!”  See what I mean…CA is stuck on stupid.

Just Six Numbers

By Pie Guevara who appears in Post Scripts through the gracious invitation of the blog creators Jack Lee and Tina Grazier, two wonderful people whom I have never met. Pie Guevara is an unregistered trademark of Engulf and Devour Investments LLC which is wholly owned by David Walton.

Astronomy and cosmology have long been amateur interests of mine. I recently re-read Just Six Numbers: The Deep Forces That Shape The Universe by Martin Rees. It is one of my favorite books on study of everything. That is to say the study of fundamental physical forces that make our universe what it is.

Martin Rees is a British cosmologist and astrophysicist. He has held positions as Astronomer Royal,  Master of Trinity College, Cambridge and President of the Royal Society. His accomplishments include Order of Merit, Fellowship of the Royal Society, Fellowship of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Fellowship of the Academy of Medical Sciences and Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society.

In a conversational tone he not only addresses the major issues in the sciences of astrophysics and cosmology but also discusses associated puzzles of antimatter, quantum effects, cosmic string, magnetic monopoles, cosmic inflation, dark matter, Planck time and mini black holes. All in a friendly style that does not require the reader to have a background in mathematics and physics.

Excerpt —

“The most incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it is comprehensible” is one of Einstein’s best-known aphorisms, expressing his amazement that the laws of physics, which our minds are somehow attuned to understand, apply not just here on Earth but also in the remotest galaxy. Newton taught us that the same force that makes apples fall holds the Moon and planets in their courses. We now know that this same force binds the galaxies…

Today I discovered this work comes in the form of an  audio book. It can be found on the Internet Archive but that site is currently down for maintenance. Here is the same reading by Martin Rees on YouTube, Part 1 of 4. I hope Post Scripts fans find it as interesting, informative and enjoyable as I do —

It’s Good to be the King – Even in Ghana

by Jack

Ghana Royal Family Worth $19 Million. . . your tax dollars at work!

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is the 5th richest king in Africa, right behind King Mswati III of Swaziland. As a university graduate studying in the United Kingdom, this soon-to-be king went on to work in private and public organizations in Canada and the United Kingdom. Otumfuo decided to return to Ghana in 1989 to head the Transpomech Ghana, a $12 million company providing mining equipment and services to industrial companies in Africa.

It’s good to be the king, but that doesn’t seem to have helped his people rise above poverty.  The average income in Ghana is about $170 per month in both public and private sectors.

The good news is help is on the way, US foreign aid to Ghana totaled about $216M and  IDA grants totaled 117M in 2019.   This money should greatly improve living conditions for the poor, right?  Not exactly, but this is what King Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has been saying for the last 30 years.  Well, maybe this will be the year that it all changes for the poor?  The King’s living conditions have certainly improved thanks to your tax dollars.  King Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II shown below.  He has a thing for gold jewelry, have you noticed?  His position is mostly ceremonial leaving the King plenty of time to do King stuff.

Homeless Woman Evades Police Then Crashes Motorhome

posted by Jack

A 52 year old homeless woman led police on a wild chase in Los Angeles that ended in a violent crash that totaled her stolen motorhome, destroyed 6 vehicles and sent two people to the hospital.   So far, police have not released the person’s name.  Hint…this usually happens when they have an illegal alien because it takes longer to get a positive identification.   I have to wonder, if the woman is both homeless and an illegal alien will this ruin her chances to apply for a tiny house and other benefits in sanctuary Los Angeles?  Inquiring minds want to know.

PS  She may also be a dognapper as the two dogs she had with her were microchipped and neither were registered to her.

Gender Bending In The 21st Century

By Pie Guevara

Pie Guevara is an unregistered trademark of Engulf and Devour Investments LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Walton Industries which, in turn, is wholly owned by David Walton. So there!

First of all my apologies to Cherokee Jack (and RHT447 by extension). At last count there are actually only 37.3128 recorded genders. The point here is, unlike energy and electron clouds, gender does not fall into quantum increments, it is a continuous spectrum. Lippy taught me that.

In the comment thread under my post “Transgender Male Rights Crushed In Canada” RHT447 succinctly pointed out a perfectly valid layman’s concern about the enumeration of human gender:

So, why then, when you sign up for a sex change operation, are there only two choices? Color me confused.

True enough, the current crude surgical procedures and hormone regimens regarding gender assignment are binary. As such it is up to the transperson to psychologically and socially refine their position in the gender spectrum regardless of the current limitations of medicine. To aid transpersons along the path to a healthy and natural true gender identity there is an abundance of psychiatrists, psychologists and a pharmacopoeia of psycho-pharmaceuticals including psychoactive and psychotropic drugs.

The gender future looks bright! Given the steady advancements in surgery and gene splicing it is easy to imagine medical research scientists not only surgically creating hermaphrodites but manifold arrangements of the genes that comprise the X and Y chromosomes.

It is a brave new world. The possibilities for genetic gender bending are boundless. We certainly live in exciting times. Count on it my friends, GMO gender is right around the corner. I shudder to think of the economic boon this will mean to the porn industry.
