The Last President of a Free Republic

by OneVike

It seems as though the whole world is rejoicing to the news that the Anointed One has won the election. In reality it is one of the darkest day’s America has ever witnessed. A veil has been thrown over the head of the great Lady of Liberty as her enemies have finally found a way to bring her to her knees. All that remains of the this once Great Beacon of democracy are those Bitter Clingers who are forced to accept their defeat.

Elections Thoughts

WE INVITE YOU TO SHARE YOUR ELECTION THOUGHTS WITH US….

From Marie T….I do think Obama is severely wrong on many issues, and I will do all in my power to block him on them. However, he will be our next president, and I refuse to behave toward him in the same vile manner the Liberals have behaved toward Bush.

From Nick…. Hail to the Chief

From Jack…Where do I begin?! I have most definitely have a lot of post election thoughts and I’m restraining myself to keep it civil. Give me a few hours to get my act together and I’ll be back!

Mike W….maybe now the people will take a closer look at what the 3rd parties have to offer us!

Faviola….I am way happy. I was kidding before when I said was voting cause I am 15. Not old enough to vote yet. I still supported Barack Obama and I made signs and stuff and I am so happy he is our President. Really really happy!

Responsibility, Freedom & Your Vote

Vote_1.jpgby Tina Grazier

All across America people have been and will be going to their local polling places to cast their votes in an election that has captured the attention of the world. Interest from people in foreign lands is enhanced because Barack Obama may be the first black man elected as president of the United States. The election will also be historic if the McCain*Palin ticket wins since Sarah Palin would represent the first woman VP, a woman of Native American heritage. These reasons are historically important but they are not the only reasons for the intense interest from other nations.

The worldwide financial crisis and a continuing threat from radical extremists in an unfinished war will mean a great deal more on January 20, 2009 than does color and gender today. Decisions made by the next administration will have a lasting and profound effect. This election is important and our responsibility as citizens of the Unites States has never been greater. At stake is the matter of continued support of our troops and the mission they have fought so long and hard to win. At stake is the financial recovery of national and international systems. Basic freedoms and rights to property and self determination are at the core of both of these broad issues; maintaining freedoms and rights are necessary before we even begin to address other issues like environment, education and health care.

America, and indeed the world, needs a strong experienced leader at this particular point in time. Anyone who still can’t decide can follow the links below for assistance. Freedom has given you the right to cast your ballot…do the responsible thing and…Vote Wisely Pilgrims!

America….Change to What?

Posted by Tina

Soon the guessing and speculation will be over and America will experience change. We do it every couple of years in the Congress and every four to eight years in the Presidency. More than ever before, this year its important that we have some idea about the kind of change we support. My preference is change that is consistant with the Constitution and that supports all Americans in being the hero of their own stories. So I’ve been relentless this election season in my efforts to report that which has been ignored or dismissed as irrelevant.

I had vowed to back off a little in these last few days before the election, but alas, as I find articles that beg to be shared…well, I just have to share them with you. Some of you have expressed appreciation for my efforts, others, just wish Id go away. Since Im bound to disappoint or frustrate (or anger) some of you anyway, I figure…go for it!

It’s Almost Over, E- Day is finally here!

by Jack Lee

I thought this day would never come….it’s been the longest, most costly race in history!

This is it folks, we’re finally coming down to the finish line!!! This has been an exhausting, marathon of a race and I can’t believe how these candidates could keep it up for so long, and especially McCain who has been through so much. He has run one remarkable race, and no matter what happens tomorrow, nobody can dispute his incredible energy and tenacity.

Former Village Voice Publisher Endorses McCain

Posted by Tina

Obamas No Kennedy-A former RFK confidante leads McCains rally in Gotham, by Deroy Murdock – NRO

* In blistering remarks to a Saturday morning rally, former Robert F. Kennedy aide Bartle Bull embraced Republican John McCain for president, hurled Barack Obama under the bus, and then backed it slowly over the Democratic nominee. *** America needs a president who is grounded in patriotism, not drowning in ambition, Bull told a crowd of 150 gathered in Lower Manhattan. I have used that sentence many times in the last three months, and not once never once have I been asked which candidate is which. *** The lifelong activist and former Village Voice publisher presented his impeccable liberal-Democrat credentials. *** I had the privilege of serving as Robert F. Kennedys New York campaign manager when he ran for president in 1968, Bull explained. I was arrested as a civil-rights lawyer in Mississippi, and I campaigned for the Equal Rights Amendment. But in honest conscience, I cannot support the Democratic ticket in this campaign. *
