Could It Be Any Worse?

by Jack

The Obama administration is drawing fire for suggesting that defeating ISIS requires more of a jobs program for terrorists than a sophisticated approach to killing them.    State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said Monday night on MSNBC that ‘we cannot win this war by killing them, we cannot kill our way out of this war.’  She said, the administration should ‘go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups’ – including ‘lack of opportunity for jobs.’  ‘We can work with countries around the world to help improve their governance,’ Harf insisted. ‘We can help them build their economies so they can have job opportunities for these people.’

So, we’re getting a lot of terrorist recruits coming out of Saudi Arabia, does that mean  Obama wants to build up the Saudi economy?   Wasn’t Osama bin Laden a wealthy guy?   How about some of his plot leaders and lieutenants, I thought  they were highly educated and formerly employed professionals, including several that were medical doctors and engineers?

Look, I get it, fighting terrorism is a multifaceted approach and somewhere in there is trying to give people a reason to live and not to be martyrs.   But, the reality is we are at war with radical Islam.  We didn’t declare that war, they did.   They have vowed to kill us and I don’t know about Libby and Chris, but if I had a choice between offering the guy who wants to kill me a job or a one way ticket to meet Allah, you know my pick.

We never heard anyone in WWII say we can’t kill our way out of this!  On the contrary, we could and we did.  Then we worked on the economy part, but we didn’t try to empower them while they were still our enemies!  If radical Imams are exploiting those in poverty and turning them into angry haters of the West, then lets take out the Imams and if we can do something for the poor that’s dandy, but we’re not going to eliminate poverty, we can’t even do that in our own country, let alone in a culture that despises our freedom and values.  So, as distasteful as it may be to some of our high minded liberals, taking the fight to the enemy and blowing the crap out of them is the most time tested and sure way to degrade our foes ability to wage war.

The embarrassing gaffe by Marie Harf aired just as the White House was attracting new criticism for trying to shovel BS over religious aspects of a mass-beheading of Coptic Christians by the ISIS terror army.   Does anyone here think that the White House would have shown the same sensitivities if it had been Christians beheading Muslims?

Obama and his team are completely off the rails.  Obama’s romanticized Islam to the point where he’s living out a delusion.  He has tried over and over to cover up their radicalized motives for jihad and suppress the connection between a religion and 10th century values.  At the same time he’s insulted and alienated Israel, our only true ally in the Middle East while giving comfort to our enemies like Hamas in Palestine.   Obama has failed on all diplomatic fronts with his stupid, shallow, foreign policy.  From Iran to Russia, he’s consistently blown it.

As demonstrated countless times over the Ukraine situation, North Korea and Iran, Obama has zero leadership ability.  But, what is worse he no interest in anyone from America leading, despite some very compelling reasons to do so, like the current threat from ISIS.

Obama  now has us 18 trillion in debt.  He’s set back race relations in America by 30 years while undermining law enforcement and making their jobs much harder.  He’s degraded and demoralized our military and this has placed them at greater risk!  And the list keeps on going and going… costly Obamacare, crony capitalism, bad investments/bailouts – Solyndra, Cambridge cops incident, Trayvon Martin incident Ferguson MO. incident,  Benghazi incident, ISSIS in Iraq, Al Sharpton connection,  Bill Ayers connection, Rev. Wright connection, etc.

Click here for list of failed GREEN projects.

Given his past far left political associations, his strong bias against America, much of it coming from his own parents, his suspicious and often hidden rise to power, helped along by some very questionable radical lefties, is it any wonder this man has turned out to be an absolute menace?  This is by all accounts someone who should never have been in American politics, much less the White House!   Obama has been an unparalleled disaster and he has as promised, fundamentally transformed America.   We much weaker, we more divided, we’re dangerously deep in debt and we have  more enemies nipping at our heels than ever before.   We’ve got some serious trouble folks and its going to get a lot worse before he is out of office.

Hmmm, sounds a bit like “America interfering in the governing affairs of other nations or even attempts at “nation building,” something the left roundly criticized and mocked under Bush. They also decried the “waste of money” spent winning hearts and minds under Bush.

Don;t hold your breath waiting for them to admit their extreme hypocrisy, political bias, and hate.

Besides the left has done so well in the last six yeas creating jobs in America! What could possibly go wrong!

I propose a pilot program in Chicago…let’s see how their activism works there before butting in to the affairs of nations all across the globe.

Jack: “We’ve got some serious trouble folks and its going to get a lot worse before he is out of office.”

He’ll make sure that happens. Good article!

Hi there. I did not see her, and I hear she is a doof. However I would like to comment.

    On your statement:
But, the reality is we are at war with radical Islam.
I would like to differ. This is not a religious war. This is a war against extremists. Not Islam.

They are trying to hijack that religion just as the christian extremist’s try to do here.. You know the ones who that and kill in the name of god. They are nut-jobs. ISIS is a death cult.

I will also say I am mad that we created this expensive problem

Again, I do not watch MSNBC so I did not see her, but would like to add that our free market experiment in Iraq failed. We demolished that country on false pretenses. We lied our way into there and put them in ruins. ISIS is providing jobs, healthcare, and lots of stuff they did not have to win people over. It’s just a sick sick situation.

I realize we have no choice but to deal with them, but I will never give them the satisfaction of a fake religious war. They are not even representatives of ISLAM.

Differences of opinion are one thing, catering to ISIS is another.

I am a good Christian. I am not at war with any religion. I do not recognize cults as religion.

Worst president ever! He’s going to be the cause of WWIII. Can’t believe what he’s done to Israel and Bibi. Jews aren’t safe anywhere again and now Christians aren’t either.

Some are saying we’re already in WWIII and Obama is this war’s Neville Chamberlain.

Pittenger: Obama ‘the Neville Chamberlain of our day’:

“CHARLOTTE, NC (Jim Morrill/The Charlotte Observer) –
After a meeting with the Israeli prime minister Tuesday, U.S. Rep. Robert Pittenger called Benjamin Netanyahu “the Winston Churchill of our day” and President Barack Obama “the Neville Chamberlain.”

The Charlotte Republican accused the president of appeasement in negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program.

“Benjamin Netanyahu is the Winston Churchill of our day, warning the world about Iran,” Pittenger said. “President Obama is the Neville Chamberlain of our day, in seemingly total denial of the enormous risk and … (how vulnerable) we are to their nuclear capabilities.”

Chamberlain, the British prime minister at the start of World War II, agreed to give a piece of Czechoslovakia in 1938 to Nazi Germany. The deal was meant to stave off war and was hailed by Chamberlain as bringing peace. Germany launched World War II a year later.

Churchill succeeded Chamberlain in 1940 and led the country successfully through the Battle of Britain.

Pittenger, who chairs the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare, traveled to Israel with fellow GOP Rep. Dennis Ross of Florida. Their meeting with the prime minister came two weeks before Netanyahu’s scheduled speech to Congress.

During an hourlong meeting, the Americans and Netanyahu talked about the ongoing threat from Iran.”

Who will be our Winston Churchill? (Obama returned the Churchill bust to England.)

    What ISIS Really Wants”

“The Islamic State is no mere collection of psychopaths. It is a religious group with carefully considered beliefs, among them that it is a key agent of the coming apocalypse. Here’s what that means for its strategy—and for how to stop it.”

    Glib ‘Happy Talk’:
    Thomas Sowell

“When Alfred E. Neuman said “What me worry?” on the cover of Mad magazine, it was funny. But this message was not nearly as funny coming from President Barack Obama and his National Security Advisor, Susan Rice.

In a musical comedy, it would be hilarious to have the president send out his “happy talk” message by someone whose credibility was already thoroughly discredited by her serial lies on television about the Benghazi terrorist attack in 2012.

Unfortunately — indeed, tragically — the world today is about as far from a musical comedy as you can get, with terrorists rampaging across the Middle East, leaving a trail of unspeakable atrocities in their wake, and with Iran moving closer to producing a nuclear bomb, with an intercontinental missile on the horizon.

We will be lucky to get through the remainder of President Obama’s term in office without a major catastrophe, from which we may or may not recover.”

“Given his [Obama’s] past far left political associations, his strong bias against America, much of it coming from his own parents, his suspicious and often hidden rise to power, … we’re dangerously deep in debt and we have more enemies nipping at our heels than ever before.”

Yes, I dare say that life in the bubble is very scary indeed. The thing is … if you left the bubble, you’d find that none of this is true, and be a much pleasanter person.

  7. Tina says:

Libby I assume you believe yourself to be outside the designated bubble. In my experience you are not all that pleasant a person.

In fact when it comes to your blind defense of BHS, as opposed to your knee-jerk vitriolic hatred of GWB, there is a lot of hypocrisy to be found. You are the bubble dweller.

Obama’s history and background is well known and well documented. Not much of it is true blue American.

  8. Peggy says:

Once again Chris, what I post are not lies. You may not agree with them and that’s your right, but I will continue to post the truth whether you like it or not.

The truth won’t fail. They will create the same results in 2016 that they did in 2014.

  9. Peggy says:

Forgot to ask how you liked the New York Post picture of Obama blindfolded? The New York Post Chris!! Now, if that’s not a major sign of the lame-stream media waking up to the damage they helped bring upon our country with their drooling support I don’t know what is.

    Hehehehe!!!

  10. Chris says:

As for the cover itself: it was stupid. Obama has made his reasons for not using the words “Islamic terror” very clear:

“”We are not at war with Islam. We are at war with people who have perverted Islam.”

Conservatives have long expressed frustration with Obama’s unwillingness to describe the threat posed by the Islamic State as “Islamic terrorism.” Obama explained Wednesday that his refusal to use that term was an attempt to keep from legitimizing the group.

“They try to portray themselves as religious leaders, holy warriors in defense of Islam,” Obama said. “We must never accept the premise that they put forward because it is a lie. Nor should we grant these terrorists the religious legitimacy that they seek. They are not religious leaders. They are terrorists.””

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2015/02/19/the-new-york-post-pulls-no-punches-on-president-obama-like-none/

These comments are nearly identical to similar comments made by Bush.

Meanwhile, the U.S. under Obama has been responsible for 80% of the airstrikes against ISIS.

The notion that Obama is soft on terror is patently absurd. Republicans who promote that notion are living in a fun-house mirror version of reality.

  11. Cassandra says:

This isnt a right wing or left wing thing and who cares what Bush said or Obama said? We should just go over and kill the crap out of ISIS.

I wish we could just go take matters into our own hands and go over there and kill the crap out of them. We are getting sick of waiting around we should just go finish the job.

The whiny liberals are a big part of this problem. We should not let them stand in the way of getting the job done.

  12. Peggy says:

Oops, apparently I made a mistake for referring to the New York Post as a left-leaning news paper. My bad for not knowing a right-leaning news paper even existed these days.

So now according to Chris I’m not only a liar I am too dumb to know what I’m talking about. Guess he’s never made a mistake since he’s always right on everything. I do wonder what size hat he wears.

I can’t wait to hear if the Clinton Foundation receiving billions from foreign countries, and all Bill’s visit to “sex island,” where girls as young as 11-13 were “available,” turns out to be facts or opinions. I wonder if the New York Times will cover the stories or will The Post be the only one?

  13. Tina says:

The left radicals want it both ways. They want to be seen as the great peacemakers of the earth on the one hand and on the other they need to look tough. The duplicity in their thinking causes heartless, emotionally flawed and executed “solutions” that lack effectiveness. Thus we see negotiations with the great sponsor of terrorism, Iran, in which we grant great concessions and get nothing substantial in return. We see chaos explode in nations that were once, if not peaceful and free, at least stable. We see eight years of blood, sweat and tears reversed and tossed in the dumper in Iraq because “the one” thinks he’s smarter and knows better. We see the extremes of targeted bombing without a greater war plan, backing the Muslim Brotherhood, a terrorist organization, tying the hands of our troops with ridiculous rules of engagement, and turning our backs on trusted allies as we embrace sponsors of terrorism. We see the hypocrisy of adopting methods roundly criticized under a former president for political purely purposes…party before the defense of our nation. We see a party whose leadership has no experience or grounding in either diplomacy or warfare making a good big mess of things.

It’s truly pathetic to see our lefty commenters here both defend this president’s war efforts and use GWB to explain and defend his actions. Especially when the methods, though similar on the surface, are nothing alike in depth and end with predictable results.

This administration should take it’s community organizing background and experience back to the level of small town or city…except I wouldn’t wish that kind of failure on any city in America.

  14. Peggy says:

Could our impressions of the president be because of one woman’s influence over what he see, who he sees and what he says. She’s known as the “gate keeper and the Berlin Wall.” Nothing goes to Obama without her approval.

    Valerie Jarrett, Obama’s ‘Berlin Wall’:

“The woman insiders describe as the president’s “real chief of staff” keeps out bad news and new ideas. It’s high time the news media paid more attention to Valerie Jarrett. An old Chicago friend of both Barack and Michelle Obama’s, she exercises unusual influence in the White House as a “senior adviser.” Many in Washington believe that she is at the heart of the disappointment the Obama administration has become. They are unwilling to say so in public. But the evidence keeps piling up.

One who is isn’t afraid to speak up is Steven Brill, the author of a searing new book analyzing American health care called “America’s Bitter Pill.” Brill is a liberal and still thinks that Obamacare should have been passed. But in his exhaustively researched book (he spoke with 243 people over a 27-month period), he slams “incompetence in the White House” for the catastrophic launch of Obamacare in 2013: “Never [has there] been a group of people who more incompetently launched something.” During an interview on NPR’s “Fresh Air” last week, he lay much of the blame at Jarrett’s doorstep. “The people in the administration who knew it was going wrong went to the president directly with memos, in person, to his chief of staff,” he told NPR’s Terry Gross. But “the president was protected, mostly by Valerie Jarrett, from doing anything.” Although Obama had no idea of the issues until they ultimately reared their head, he still bears the blame, Brill said. “At the end of the day, he’s responsible. . . . The president, whatever we can say about him on policy and on giving speeches, as a manager, he failed. He didn’t know what was going on in the single most important initiative of his administration.” How important is Jarrett inside the Obama White House? Brill was able to interview the president about the struggles of Obamacare and reports that he concluded: “At this point, I am not so interested in Monday morning quarterbacking the past.” That must be one reason Jarrett is still at his side, in the same outsize role she’s held since both arrived in D.C. in January 2009. How outsize? Brill told the president that five of the highest-ranking Obama officials had told him that “as a practical matter . . . Jarrett was the real chief of staff on any issues that she wanted to weigh in on, and she jealously protected that position by making sure the president never gave anyone else too much power.” When Brill asked the president about these aides’ assessment of Jarrett, Obama “declined comment,” Brill wrote in his book. That, in and of itself, is an answer.”

Off topic, but be sure the next time you need stamps to run to the post office and buy the one honoring Valerie Jarrett’s great-grandfather. (Note the connection with a familiar name who placed his name on the consideration list and is one of 14 members of the Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee. Coincidence? I think not.) Must be nice to be a member of the elite club and have friends with very high connections.

Does this face look familiar? Valerie Jarrett’s ancestor honored with stamp:

  15. Tina says:

Peggy I continue to be amazed that the left insists blacks never had a chance in America due to racism and slavery and yet the history they usually ignore, like the success of Jarrett’s ancestor, shoots big holes in their theory. Like other groups that came to America in bondage and penniless (Irish), blacks were moving into the main stream of American life on their own ambition and urge. It was right to eliminate prejudicial barriers but our efforts to “help them” have too often had the opposite effect. (Just like it does in Marxist nations…imagine that!)

Jarrett is an unelected woman with too much power, I agree, but I’m in favor of a stamp that commemorates a black American that applied himself to achieve a better life. Isn’t it a shame the left can’t see and get behind this very American idea for all Americans?

  16. Peggy says:

I too would like more stamps recognizing black Americans. My issue with Jarrett’s great grandfather being honored read like it was for who he knew, and the family and friend connections that got him the honor. Henry Gates is the common denominator.

Jarrett’s bio is really scary with all of her communist and Marxist connections. Especially if she is the “brains” and primary advisor to Obama.

Just watched the Oscars with Oprah in the audience when the MC pointed her out for being as rich as half of all the others there. A half black man is in the WH who keeps telling other blacks they can’t get where he got without gov’t help. It’s nuts with Oprah and so many others as great examples that they can.

  18. Tina says:

When the Obama administration signals that America has a systemic race problem he is saying that blacks are at a great disadvantage in America. When they propose policy to redistribute wealth they signal that blacks can only benefit from government redistribution. There are countless ways the left, and this administration in particular, have furthered the lie that blacks can’t make it in America.

Oprah having government help when she was young as nothing to do with her ultimate massive success. it cannot be denied that the white community was her largest support group and made her rich because of HER EFFORTS!
