What to Take When Traveling to Mexico

by Jack

My first question is why are you going to Mexico, are you a drug dealer, sex-slave trafficker, an idiot, have a death wish or just a crazy person?  Knowing this will help me guide your packing.  And proper packing will make your trip more enjoyable!

In general terms, if your trip has nothing to do with the above or being  suicidal, then start planning months in advance.  You’ll need to smuggle in enough weapons and ammo for at least 1 running gunfight per day of travel.  Take enough weaponry to fill all the hiding spaces in your Winnebago.  I like AR-15’s, baseball type fragmentation grenades, LAWS and AT4 rockets for roadblocks.  A .50 Cal sniper rifle might come in handy too.

Access to healthcare – If you come under an ambush close to a local hospital consider that your lucky day!  Otherwise, you better enroll in a course in combat medicine course and take along plenty of medical supplies to care for the wounded in your family or group.  The life you save may be your own!

Before I forget, and this tip is really handy… get a high grade steel ramming bumper welded to your RV’s frame.  Something similar to a locomotive cattle guard should do it. Why? One hour into Mexico’s highway system and you’ll know why.

What to wear?  Kevlar soft body armor is quite trendy down there.  But, be sure to wear enough to cover yourself from head to toe.  Of course,  I would not suggest you go swimming at the beach in your protective Kevlar body suit, it doesn’t float very well.  But, then why would you want to swim in sewer water anyway?  And watch out for the needles on the beach.  Protective footwear is a must.  A pair of heavy duty logger boots are recommended for those romantic evening beach strolls when washed up dead bodies, needles and poisonous jelly fish are at their worst.

Speaking of water, if the banditos don’t get you, Montezuma might!  That is, unless you take along an emergency distillation system for Mexico’s tap water.  But, that’s not quite enough, you will also want to run it through a charcoal filter and ad several purification tablets to every gallon.  Tip:  You can prepare for drinking the water in Mexico before you leave.  Here’s how:  Use your toilet water before you flush and practice with your distillation kit.

And now the latest news from marvelous Mexico…

MEXICO CITY – A gunfight between security forces and armed civilians in Mexico’s southwestern state of Guerrero killed 15 people on Tuesday, authorities said, the second mass killing to shake the country in as many days.

Guerrero state public security spokesman Roberto Alvarez said 14 civilians and one soldier died in the shootout in the municipality of Tepochica, near Iguala, a city notorious for the 2014 disappearances of 43 student teachers.

A photograph of the aftermath seen by Reuters showed two slain civilians, one of them hanging limply off the side of a battered pick-up truck that had been riddled with bullets as security forces patrolled the area.

Defending his security strategy after suspected cartel gunmen killed 13 police a day earlier in the neighboring western state of Michoacan, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador blamed past administrations for Mexico’s chronic violence.

However, the latest carnage is likely to increase pressure on Lopez Obrador to get a grip on a problem he pledged to tackle when he took office last December.

Guerrero and Michoacan are two of Mexico’s most violent and lawless states, where rival drug gangs have battled to control smuggling routes to the Pacific and interior of the country.

The leftist Lopez Obrador told a news conference the ambush in Michoacan was “very regrettable” but reiterated that his commitment to greater spending on security and fighting the root causes of violence would eventually pay dividends.

“I’m optimistic we’ll secure peace … we’re completely dedicated to this issue, but (past governments) allowed it to grow,” said Lopez Obrador, who has criticized past efforts for taking a confrontational approach to battling crime.

Homicides in Mexico this year are on track to surpass last year’s record.

Photos of the Michoacan crime scene on social media showed bullet-riddled police vehicles set on fire, as well as bodies of dead officers on the ground.

After taking office, Lopez Obrador created a militarized National Guard police force to contain the violence.

But many of the National Guard have instead been deployed to police Mexico’s borders to placate U.S. President Donald Trump, who has threatened to impose tariffs if Lopez Obrador does not reduce the flow of U.S.-bound migrants from Central America.

The city of Iguala pitched Mexico’s chronic security problems into the glare of international media after the 43 trainee teachers were abducted by a drug gang in cahoots with corrupt local police on the night of Sept. 26, 2014.

The resulting scandal battered the reputation of Mexico’s former president and helped propel Lopez Obrador into office.

The last government said the drug gang killed and incinerated the youths, although investigators only ever definitively identified the remains of one of them.

Trump Predicted to Win by a Landslide

Guest Editorial by Wayne Root

Democrats are delusional. They try to destroy Trump. They try to ruin Trump. It never works. No matter how hard they try, they can’t beat Trump.

Let me give you a great example. Three Sundays ago, I was busy watching NFL football, when my phone rang. “Are you watching Fox News?” my buddy Jack asked. “Turn it on. It’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen in politics. Go there now!”

Sure enough, Jack was right. I’ve never seen anything like it in my entire life. I would not have believed it, if I didn’t see it with my own eyes.

There was President Trump in a football stadium in Houston, Texas, giving a speech to 50,000 American Indian immigrants (from India). Yes, I said fifty thousand. It was Reliant Stadium, home to the Houston Texans. And it was full- like there was an NFL game going on. Trump is as popular as the NFL on a Sunday morning…with Indian immigrants.

Keep in mind the Democrat presidential frontrunners rarely get more than a hundred to a few hundred fans to show up. Trump routinely gets 10,000 to 20,000. But the press explains it away by saying “it’s a sea of white faces.”

But these weren’t white faces. These were 50,000 dark skinned immigrants from India, now proud Americans. And they love Trump. They screamed his name, “Trump, Trump, Trump!” They gave him standing ovations. This was clearly a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon.

The Prime Minister of India stood on stage arm in arm with Trump, while the crowd cheered Trump’s name. Trump could have run for Prime Minister of India at that moment and won. Amazing.

And no one in the mainstream media reported this once-in-a-lifetime event. Not a word.

Doesn’t the media claim Trump is hated by people of color? Yet here were 50,000 American Indians cheering Trump like he’s the “King of Indian Immigrants.”

No politician in US political history has ever achieved something like this. It was like a Billy Graham revival.

More proof of how Trump is changing politics. Forget polls. I speak to Hispanics and blacks every day who love Trump.

Trump’s not losing in 2020. And I believe deep down, Democrats know that. That’s why they are rushing to frame him and impeach him.

But it won’t work. Let me explain why.

Only three things can happen with impeachment. In each case, Trump wins.

First, House Democrats try to impeach Trump, but can’t muster enough votes to impeach. They look like over-reaching fools and sore losers. Trump wins by an electoral landslide in 2020.

Second, the House impeaches Trump. But the Senate acquits him. Democrats look like over-reaching fools and sore losers. Trump wins by an electoral landslide in 2020.

Third, the House impeaches. Then a jealous, bitter, backstabbing, sore-loser Mitt Romney leads a RINO revolt against Trump in the Senate. They convict Trump. He’s removed from office.

Guess what happens next? Impeachment removes a president from office, but doesn’t disqualify him from holding future office.

Result? Trump runs for re-election as an independent and is re-elected President of the United States when all 63 million Trump voters leave the GOP to support Trump.

Trump gets revenge by destroying the GOP. Mitt Romney and the GOP won’t get 5 million votes. The party will be finished, kaput. The GOP goes the way of the Whigs.

And Trump campaigns against every GOP Senator who voted against him- ending all of their careers.

In each case, Trump wins.

My advice to the GOP Senate: Cross Trump at your own peril. A vote to convict Trump is a vote to destroy the GOP forever and end your Senate careers in disgrace.

And my advice to backstabber Mitt Romney. Find a new party. You are a disgrace and embarrassment to me and 63 million Trump voters.

The Never Ending Middle East Mess

by Jack

Sorry for slow postings, but I have been down with a bad cold.  Feeling a little better today.

The New York Times, among many other major news papers, has been soundly bashing Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Kurdish controlled regions in Syria.

But, like everything else in the middle east there is no clear black and white, good or bad, here.  Let’s recap this situation.  First the area in dispute  has been a conflict zone between Turkey, Syria and Kurds for about two hundred years or more.  Second, there are some problems in the world that the USA can’t solve, we can only manage them.

For the last 15 years have helped us in Iraq and later with ISIS.  The was a mutually beneficial arrangement that guaranteed them more autonomy and security.  So they go something and we got something from our arrangement.

The number of US troops that had to be removed from Kurdish dominated areas of Syria was less than a 1000.

President  Erdogan of Turkey told Trump they were invading to create a safe zone between Syria and Turkey.  The US had the option of remaining and watching the invasion and possibly becoming part of the conflict or leaving.  Trump chose to leave, rather than engage a NATO ally.

Of course the Kurds wasted no time in turning to Bashir Assad for help and in turn the Russians and now they are marching to confront the Turks.

This is a real complex, messy situation and we could spend billions for a fix and have nothing to show for it.  If anyone says Trump blundered they aren’t looking at all sides.  Don’t misunderstand, Trump’s decision could turn out very bad for us and the world, but only time will tell.

“Not by Pie Guevara” since I am simply linking to an article from another source. Thanks to RHT447 for this link. Commiefornia may soon pass even more outrageous laws to abridge citizens right to bear arms (aka “sensible gun regulation”). What follows is a link to the original article sans embellishment or analysis of my own —

CA Leads the Nation Again –

by Jack

The liberals controlling the CA government from top to bottom have prioritized our needs and determined it was necessary to pass new legislation to aid many of our residents….  Was it lower sales taxes?  No.  Was it a repeal of sanctuary laws?  No.  Was it other get tough on crime laws?  No.  Wait, wait… I know, I know…lower DMV fees, right?   No, Bunky but none of that is on their list of priorities.

Without further anticipation, here is the new legislation….it is now illegal for a barber shop to advertise prices for men’s or women’s haircuts.   It must be gender neutral pricing  and priced according to short, medium or long hair.  This is your tax dollars at work.   To double your glee, CA also passed a law to create a gender neutral birth certificate, now legal in in Oregon, Washington, California, and New Jersey.

And the good news just keeps on coming:  California could become one of the first states to outlaw racial discrimination because of hairstyles — such as braids and dreadlocks — in a move aimed at challenging long-held standards of professionalism in the workplace.  As a cop or a fireman I bet you’ve always wanted hair like Sideshow Bob, right?  Well, now you can and the Chief can’t fire you!  Green hair and dread locks are perfectly acceptable and soon to be protected by law.

The California Senate voted 37-0 on Monday to approve a bill that would update the state’s anti-discrimination law so that the term “race” includes “traits historically associated with race.”   In some occupations haircuts are about safety, but in CA that is no longer a consideration?

The Far Left Kurd Terrorists of Northern Syria

By Pie Guevara

Pie Guevara is an unregistered trademark of Engulf and Devour Investments LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Walton Industries which, in turn, is wholly owned by David Walton. So there!

I thought it a bit odd that one of the comment contributors to Post Scripts who has frequently and vigorously expressed his hatred and contempt for Christians and Christian values in these pages would grieve over Turkey invading Syria ostensibly to “begin an ethnic cleansing of the Christian Kurds.”

This specious comment and Peggy’s link to an OAN interview of a former officer of the CIA prompted me to look more deeply into the Kurds in northern Syria. (A vid of that interview appears at the bottom of the page and merits a viewing. Thank you again Peggy.)

Some of this I had known before and some of it is new to me. As it turns out the situation is a complex one that involves many bad actors and encompasses not just the past decade or so but hundreds of years of hatred, resentment, animosity, and religious and ethnic tribalism.

Without going into a detailed examination which has been done elsewhere across literally hundreds of articles and much better than I can do here, I will merely list a few of the salient points of interest to me and maybe to you. Those who wish to form a deeper understanding can join me on the web and do further research of their own. There is an abundance of relevant information to be had. Those who wish to engage in a civil opinion and intelligence sharing conversation in the comments section are invited to do so. The gang of two can go pound sand and will be ignored by me. I have had enough of those two witless twits for this month.

1) Before the Syrian Civil War approximately 10% of the Syrian population was Syriac/Assyrian, Armenian or Arab Christian. Together they formed one of the largest Christian minorities in the middle east. Early in the war Christian communities were armed by Syrian and Kurdish governments to defend themselves against sectarian Sunni Islamic rebels. These sectarian Sunni rebels included Wahhabi Sunni jihadists who eventually formed the core of  ISIS.

2) Around 2016 Syrian Kurds seeking to establish an autonomous political federation in northern Syria clashed with Assyrian militias in and about Qamishli. At the time Qamishli was primarily controlled by U.S. backed Kurdish Democratic Union Party and their security forces.

So, here in 1 and 2 we have Assyrian forces (including Assyrian Christian militias) battling Kurds (including Christian Kurd militias) in northern Syria and the U.S. siting right in the middle of this mess. Given that Muslims have a long history of killing other Muslims over religion and political power in this region it does not surprise me that Christians (who had a similar history hundreds of years ago) should be killing one another too.

3) The thorn in Turkey’s side for decades has not been Christian Kurds in northern Syria but the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), a far left militant and political organization based in Turkey and Iraq. The PKK now has a presence in northern Syria. These are not “Christian Kurds” they are Marxist terrorists.

4) The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by several states and organizations, including the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan and the European Union.

5) Question: So why would Ergodan seek to commit genocide of Christian Kurds? The answer he that he is not. He is targeting Kurds seeking autonomy and PKK terrorists which he believes makes Northern Syria an unstable neighbor and a threat to his regime. That northern Syrian Kurds happen to include Christian Kurds is a happy circumstance for this Islamic despot, not a policy for the eradication of Christians. Of course it should go without saying that Ergodan is also flexing his muscles to expand his own power base into Syria under the premise of politically stabilizing the area.

Whether Turkey actually seeks to exterminate Kurds the way it exterminated Armenians is a possibility but not a probability as some would have us believe. If Turkey ends up wiping out the Christian Kurdish population that will just be a happy side effect for Ergodan and Muslims in the region, not the driving force behind his move.

The pulling out of northern Syria by President Trump has been roundly condemned around the world. Why is it that now that the rest of the world has been given an ideal opportunity to show the President how to properly handle Middle East affairs there seem to be no takers? Can it be that the world community of nations is reluctant to spend their treasure and blood in this region and still get nowhere but into a deeper morass of deep seated tribal hatreds and despotic thuggery that goes back hundreds of years?

I understand Trump’s desire to get the U.S. out of this mess and whether or not it will turn into a bigger mess remains to be seen.

Moreover, Ergodan is not immune to the opinions of the rest of the world and the pressures that could be brought to bear if a few nations decide to take up some responsibility for policing peace themselves instead of relying on the U.S. to act as the world’s police force. If the rest of the world so hates us (as the left would have us believe) then why would they want us to act as their police force in the first place? (This is a rhetorical question. I already know the answer to and so should you.)

The loser in all this will likely and ultimately be the hope of any form of Kurdish autonomy in the region. For that I am sad and ambivalent about Trump’s decision.

An intriguing part of this mess is the presence of the Marxist terrorist PKK organization in northern Syria and their ties to … Antifa! This is where Peggy’s link to an OAN interview on Oct. 9, 2019 of a former officer of the CIA provides some invaluable insight —

Much thanks to Peggy for pointing this out to me. I found it so important and thought provoking that I decided it deserved front page status.

The first vid is from Tucker Carlson Tonight, Dec 23, 2018. It begins with Mr. Carlson’s own views and observations. Colonel Douglas Macgregor appears at approximately the 9 minute mark. This piece of opinion journalism and the interview with Colonel Macgregor merits watching in its entirety.

The next vid is an interview of Colonel Douglas Macgregor by Tucker Carlson last night (Oct. 8 2019).

Again, thank you Peggy!
