Reserved for posterity in that history book, you will find a reference to the Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie. I say this because of the way Christie handled a reporter who tried to do him what left has been doing to anyone willing to reduce the size and control of the government for over 50 years. Attempting to make Christie look mean spirited and angry, a reporter asked him if he thinks that his confrontational tone over the way he is pushing a school voucher is going to increase his odds at getting it passed through the state legislature. The way Christie handles the reporter and his question should be sent out in a memo to every Republican across America, with the title, "This Is How You Handle The Enemy"! After identifying the reporter by name, Christie said to him,
"You must be the thinnest-skinned guy in America." "If you think that's a confrontational tone, then you should really see me when I'm pissed," he said. "That's not confrontational. I love when people say they don't want to have argument, that's what we were sent here for."
What Chris Christie is doing in New Jersey is quickly becoming the blueprint for how you take care of business by telling it like it is and putting your political enemies like the Democrats, the MSM, and labor unions in their place. Living in California, one can only hope and pray we can find such individuals who will step up to the plate and not fear the curve balls thrown at them by the left. All across this great country I am beginning to see the kind of politicians who, like Christie, are not backing down from the attacks from the left.
I don't know if Christie has any desire to move into national politics, but for now the citizens of New Jersey are getting a taste of what it means to be serious about changing the way things are done. You begin by changing the way you respond to those who have supported the failed policies of the good old boys on the left.
| Gov Christie calls S-L columnist thin-skinned for inquiring about his 'confrontational tone' |

I pray to God this man wont change. I hope he doesnt get caught up in the system because I truly believe him. I also know how the governing body he has to work with can crucify him. Lets all say a prayer for him. The if he sticks to his guns we will run him for President,
I agree, and also will pray he keeps on the right track.
President huh? I have been hearing those suggestions from many, many quarters as of late.
But don't you think that it would be a betrayal to the voters who put him in the office of Gov, to get their state straightened out? Just wondering, because you know that will be a line off attack against him.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
"Combative" and "confrontational" are code for standing up to statists. This man is a breath of fresh air. Hope he does not back down.
Time will tell Jared,. He is a profile, anti same sex marriage Conservative who has put many criminals in prison. From what I have seen, this guys spine is made of steel, but time will tell, time will tell.
Could we be looking at a Christie / Bachmann, or Christie / Palin ticket in 2012?
Just asking is all, just asking.
“Tolerance is an admirable intellectual gift; but it is of little worth in politics. Politics is a war of causes; a joust of principles. Government is too serious a matter to admit of meaningless courtesies.” – Woodrow Wilson

Yes you are correct OV, there are many good conservatives who are not backing down from the MSM's attack. All across this nation, there are some fine dark horses appearing for 2012.
As you so eloquently pointed out about Christie and Bachmann, here are also such individuals like Sarah Palin, in Florida there is there's Lt. Col. Allen West, another strong, proven leader and communicator who could debate and demolish an opponent, and not take crap from the lefts lapdogs in the media.
They have different backgrounds and different styles, but they are real people who are not puppets of international forces who are out to destroy America's leadership position in the world.
2010 must be the year when voters make a clear statement to the Republican Party that these are the kinds of persons who can win their votes in 2012. The same old, same old (warmed-over versions of the 2008 campaign) will not be accepted, no matter how hard they try to "change" their image. Just as the Dems rejected the Clintons and took on a new face and style, Republicans need to accept the fact that voters who love liberty will flock to a strong leader like Christie or West, but will reject or stay home for the current crop of RNC leaders like McCain, Lugar and other country club Rhinos who are more content to just collect their paychecks like the Republicans did before the "94" revolution. .
Send copies of this video to all Republicans who hold office in this country....they have to learn to step up and speak out LOUD and CLEAR and IN THE FACE OF THEIR OPPONENTS. I am SO tired of hearing mealy mouth Republicans attempt to show their feeble displeasure when the socialists in Washington yet again assault us with an attack on our freedom, liberty, the Constitution. The politicians and citizens of these United States have to get ANGRY, and they must raise their voices in PROTEST and be willing to do what our Forefathers did...THEY were not silent and THEY were not afraid to assert themselves...what the hell is the excuse of our present day Republican representatives?
Unfortunately Fred, Woodrow Wilson only won the e;lection because Teddy Rosevelt ranon the Bull Moose Party and thus the conservative vote was split between him and Taft.
Then Wi9lson commenced to putting in policies that inevitably set the country on course for the Stock Market crash of 1929, and the great depression.
Doesn't it remind you of the policies Clinton put in place that set things up for our current recession?
So Wilson may have had some witty quotes, but he was just a big mistake when it come\s to being the President.
