This video was taken in Anchorage, AK. back in June 2008. A good Sunday video to get you ready for the week. The person who took the video had this to say about the day they took the video.
"It was a warm day and mother was lying down next to the shed for a couple of hours. We finally realized that she was overheated so I put the sprinkler out for her and her little one discovered it first. I wasn't nervous because the mother is a neighborhood moose and has been coming to our yard for years with her little ones. Neighborhood moose are generally comfortable with people unless their little ones are brand new."

one moose, three...meeces?
thankyou very much, made my day
That is one of the cutest things I've ever seen! Thanks for putting it up! I can't imagine looking out my back window and seeing this. I'd be late for work.
I'll bet that the one little one is a male since it kept going after the other. Talk about possessive. Plus the other one just looked like a little female.
God does bless us.
What a wonderful video. I am snowed in & needed a lift.
Thank you !
You are most welcome, and I am glad you found my blog.
God bless you and yours and may the Lord help you make the best of your condition this day. I grew up in Duluth Minnesota. Because we were right on the West side of the lake, most of the weather was cold and dry from Canada and we maybe received 2 feet of snow and it was hard and too cold to make even snowballs. However, I do remember the Winter when I was 10 and there must have been 100 feet of snow on the ground. OK, I was young and it seemed like 100ft, reality it was about 6 or 7 feet.
Well, me, my brothers and a few friends built a fort by digging to the sidewalk. Our arch enemies the Potter boys and a few of their friends built them a fort about 20 feet from ours, and we had the mother of all snowball fights. It lasted almost two weeks because School was closed for Christmas break.
The first day back to school after the holiday break, a little neighbor girl was playing around them and fell down inside. She was down inside one of them for a few hours until her parents grew worried and went looking for her. When they found her she was crying and cold. Needless to say the adults filled the forts in while we were at School. She was alright and we were upset, but understood the danger and why they had to.
To this day I remember that snow ball fight, and those great forts we built. For the life of me, I cannot remember what I got for Christmas. I guess the gift we got from God in the great snow storm was the greatest gift of all for us. I would bet that those who were adults at the time, would have a different opinion of that snowstorm which dumped 100feet of snow.
Well, thanks again for stopping by,
Chuck
